THE WHALES ARE "LARGER THEN LIFE" HERE AGAIN IN 2008! Up to Sunday 24 AUGUST 2008 we have seen 3650 so far pass this Island Paradise. On our Whale Watching Tours we spot Whales while having our morning tea of "Aussie" damper and a cuppa on Main Beach. We then drive to the North Gorge and other brilliant vantage spots at Point Lookout. The total Northbound migration numbers so far is approx 11309 of which we are seeing about 1/3.
We saw another white whale pass us just on the inside of Flat Rock at 4.37pm on Tuesday 8 July 2008. This was not Migaloo but another white whale but with some black markings on it. So we have to patiently wait for Migaloo to come past us here. There were 8 whales in this pod. Very exciting as there were helicopters in the air filming this new whale.
