The Whalewatch Ocean Beach resort is a 40 luxury 3-bedroom self-contained units with 2 bathrooms and gourmet kitchens. Located on North Stradbroke Island at Point Lookout, the Whalewatch Ocean Beach Resort provides endless views along the main surfing beach, over the Pacific Ocean and to the Gold Coast and beyond.
Relax on your balcony and watch the whales frolic and breach on their annual trek north. Or see them pass with their playful calves on their return south. Dolphins, turtles and manta rays also frequent the waters off Point Lookout.
After settling in let us show you this Island Paradise. Come relax on our "4wd Island Eco Tour" of Straddie. Enjoy our famous BBQ on the beach. Scenic views and much more. Bookings can be made at the office. We leave daily at 0830 am. Return when we have had enough fun! (usually about 6 hours).
This resort features large 3 bedroom fully self contained units with 2 bathrooms, gourmet kitchen and huge indoor and outdoor living areas, most complimented by magnificent ocean views, air conditioning and lift access.
There is a barbecue area, swimming pool, spa and gymnasium, games room and undercover security car parking, giving you the peace of mind to relax and enjoy the many natural wonders of Straddie, pollution free and environmentally magnificent.
Whalewatch Ocean Beach Resort is situated within a short walking distance to the Point Lookout Surf Club, which it overlooks. All other major Point Lookout attractions, including the famous North Gorge Headlands Walk, Captains Cook's Lookout, the Blowhole, outdoor cafes and art galleries are within easy walking distance.
The township of Point Lookout is located on the northern tip of Stradbroke Island, approximately 20km from the township of Dunwich.
Fish for tea? Dave will take you on a Fishing trip all the way down the bottom of the Island to Jumpinpin (32 km of beach). Bookings are essential.
