2013 British & Irish Lions Tour to Australia

City to Straddie stopover tour.

North Stradbroke Island is our destination, just off the coast from Brisbane.
The Reason!
You will be picked up and shown this Island Paradise we call "Straddie" and stay in Resort accommodation with all the trimmings and the very next day taken back to Brisbane to watch the game of RUGBY.
Pick up time is at 7:15 - 7:30 am outside your Hotel/accommodation in Brisbane

We then drive to the Bayside suburb of Cleveland for our trip across Moreton Bay to Dunwich.
Arriving in Dunwich we travel to Brown Lake for swimming, photographs and commentary. We have our morning at Brown Lake (Ti tree medicine is in this fresh water lake). We have our morning tea at this Lake. Some "Aussie Damper" and jam, cuppa tea or coffee.
Then drive through the Blue Lake National Park to Main Beach (32 km of white sand)
Stopping on beach for photos and maybe a game or two!
We then head to Point Lookout’s North Gorge where we hope to see Dolphins, Turtles and Manta Rays
From June to November we spot the majestic Humpback Whales from this stunning vantage point
We then drive onto Flinders Beach for our famous "Aussie" BBQ on the beach for lunch
Before lunch you can take more photos, swim, enjoy beach games or just simply relax
After our BBQ lunch we drive to Amity Point where we meet our friendly koalas
Then drive back into Point Lookout to go to your accommodation at "Anchorage on Straddie".
Arrival back at your Island Resort will be around 3.00pm.
Just in time for you to have a shower and enjoy your night time activities.
Check out next day will be at 9.30am from Anchorage on Straddie. After check out we make our way leisurely back into Dunwich for our return to Brisbane and watch the GREAT GAME OF RUGBY!

Anchorage on Straddie has many different room sizes and you may be asked to share not only the room but also the passion of the game of RUGBY. We want to make it the "RUGBY FAMILY" must do tour adventure!

Studio Rooms

Anchorage On Straddie has 11 self-contained studio units.
Designed for a couples short stay, they are a generous sized open plan room.
Some units have an additional single bed. These units are perfect for families with young children/infants.

One bedroom units

Anchorage On Straddie has 12 self-contained 1 bedroom units. Designed for longer stays, the kitchen has a full size fridge as well as an oven, some have dishwashers. 3 of these units have washing machine & dryer facilities & 1 unit is air conditioned in the bedroom.
With a separate queen bedroom, these units have ample space for a single bed & trundle bed in the living area.

Two bedroom units

Anchorage On Straddie has 5 self-contained Two Bedroom units that Include dishwasher, full size fridge & oven along with standard kitchen amenities.
2 of these units have air conditioned bedrooms.
Designed for a family of 4 - 6, there is a queen bedroom ocean side and a second bedroom with 2 single beds and 2 trundle beds can be set up in living area on request.
All units have a laundry & an undercover park.
