Within a two hour period we counted 40 Humpback Whales slowly swimming north as we were driving along Main Beach on Straddie.
After following the whales we then preceded to Queensland's most Easterly point the North Gorge to view then again from about 35 metres looking down on them as they swim past.
Whilst we were looking at them a pod of dolphins guided them past the headland.
Very nice to see. We took plenty of photos of them all for our albums.
